4/11-12 Camp Child Adventure

Join us April 11-12th for an overnight adventure at YMCA's Camp Child. Get out and enjoy some family fellowship in a beautiful outdoors setting in the Little Blackfoot River area. After a wonderful evening connecting with other outdoor families with food, games and fun, gear up in your PJs and sleeping bags for a camp out in the lodge, including storytelling time. Wake to camp coffee and a country breakfast. Then we'll all gear up and head outside to play! We will end our adventure with lunch at noon in the lodge.

Space is limited, please call or email Jennifer to make reservations before Thursday 4/10. Cost is $40 per family and includes Friday night snack, overnight "camp out" at Camp Child's lodge (other accommodations maybe available for an additional facilities charge), a country breakfast, and lunch. An itinerary will be sent ASAP to those who make reservations.

HOF & GABC June 28th

Come get out and play with Outdoor Kidfitter Co. Saturday, June 28 at Memorial Park from 10am to 5pm for the first annual Helena Outdoors Fest . Then join us for an overnight campout at the park with the NWF's Great American Backyard Campout-Helena. Both events are fundraiser for Big Brothers-Big Sister of Helena and Intermountain Children's Home Outdoor Recreation Youth Programs.

In celebration of Outdoors Month in June, O.K.C. will be hosting a free, family-friendly outdoor festival featuring hands-on clinics and demos, food, fun, music and giveaways. There will plenty of activities for everyone of all ages! Come explore Hena's first annual open air outdoor recreation community adventure.

Pledge to join the National Wildlife Federation's 4th Annual Great American Backyard Camp Out, a national campaign to campout, even if its only in your backyard at http://www.backyardcampout.org/. Or you can join us at Memorial Park for an in town campout with evening activities featuring fireside storytelling and music, S'mores roasting, star-gazing and more! There is a nominal charge for the GABC-Helena event and all proceeds benefit Big Brothers-Big Sister of Helena and Intermountain Children's Home Outdoor Recreation Youth Programs.

Easter Egg Hunt Hike 3/22-Thank You!

Thank you for those who joined us for our First Annual Egg Hunt & Hike at Spring Meadow Lake! The turn out was more than we expected and we hope to be better prepared with more eggs next year. Let's do it again next year!

St. Patty's Parade 3/15@noon

Join us Saturday, March 15th at Noon Downtown for the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Catch Leprechauns at Outdoor Kidfitters!!! Come build a Leprechaun trap at Outdoor Kidfitter Co. (A materials fee of $1.00 is being asked to help with costs.) Come join us for a day of Green including cookies and drinks.

I apologize but due to a death in the family, we are canceling this Saturday's adventure at the golf course.

It's Snowing!

We will still be heading up to MacDonald Pass for skiing. The temps are not too bad. We'll be up there until about Noon. Hope to see you playing in the snow!

Kid's Nordic Ski Clinic @ MacPass 2/9/08

Join us Saturday Feb. 9th at 10am up at MacPass for a Kid's Cross-country Ski Clinic. Currently I only have 8 sets of skis. I will bring the Kindershuttle ski pulk and Chariot ski system to demo as well as some snowshoes. Take Hwy 12 west towards Missoula, before the grade tops out, make a right just after the MacPass DOT station (aka Frontierland).
